This post was late for 3 days, but last weekend there was something special happened in Jakarta, it was the Indonesia Comic-con 2015! it was the same comic con with the one held in the USA. how awesome is that?
and of course there were tons of awesome line up of artists and talents!

and of course i waited for 2 hours just to get a 2 shot with him *put gaban theme song here*
and there was also re-on booth. this time re-on collaborated with a duo from Japan called faint star to be featured as a special comic in the next re-on.

at last! after i-don’t-know-for-how-long I’ve been absent from this blog activity, there are too damn many events in my town lately and that makes me lazy to update, but this one is special, because it’s time for AFAID2015!
this year’s AFAID was located at kemayoran, like the very first AFAID
i have to fulfill my duty as kuli/bodyguard/driver for my girlfriend and i want to enjoy the event, so i came all three days
the afa cafe this year was also a join cafe between butler and maid cafe. there are yutaki, nao as buttler and matcha mei, punipun, comi, as maids (i forgot the rest)
along with the regular cosplayer like yingtze, pinky, and richfield, this year they bring along a new “big” one who once nominated as the most beautiful girl in akihabara, otogi nekomu san.
damn! too bad i didn’t get the chance to take photo together with her.
at reon booth, this year only edelyn and jeanice who are participate because the rest are at the maid cafe.

managed to take photo with reon on sunday. pardon my face lol. as usual, reon booth is one of the largest booth there, and always crowded full of hungry zombies attracted by the sweet pheromones of the ladies at reon booth. i will update more reon photos later, as they are in my camera.
and then there are pink babies. these cute underage idols are the perfect jailbaits for the pedobears lurking at afaid.
i don’t really know about pink babies, but i got some clear shots since i got in the front row.
and there is hiroaki kato, he is a japanese singer who can speak indonesian very fluently, and he can sing indonesian songs very well.
and at pony canyon booth, they’re promoting this new singer called michi, who sang the theme songs of obe anime called rokka no yusha.

So after struggling with flood that literally made every inch of Jakarta wet for the past 2 days, I finally have a chance to update this blog for Japan Beauty Week which was held last weekend at FX mall Jakarta.
This event was full of expensive cosmetics and pretty girls.
there was also free skin check
Olive des Olive showcased their clothing as well. I don’t know, but they don’t seem to have any intention to sell their clothes. lol.
and various stuff which i don’t understand 🙂 seriously, girl’s make up items are too damn many, but as long as they make them pretty, men will always support them. 🙂

2014 has been great and we will soon entering 2015, does everyone have new year resolution already?
well, in the end of 2014, I got a little surprise because picculture, ehm, this blog, has been chosen as official media partner of Heart Ribbon. yaaay~!
Heart Ribbon is a new group consisting of Franzeska Edelyn and Donna Visca. They have just debuted last two weeks ago and have been actively performing in several events in Indonesia.

Yeah, I know it is 3 days late to post this blog now… I have been busy with my-goddamn-why-it-is-so-fucking-hard- finance exam that rendered my head uncontrollably overheat after I couldn’t finish the 5 questions in the exam in time withing 3 hours. *siiiiiiigggghhhh*

okay, POPCON is a convention where many artist gather to show off their skills and works. It is like a place where (if you’re an artist) you feel like a year old toddler who just learn how to hold a crayon in your hands. everyone there is good and their works are awesome!
I, with my friend arip, collaborated to make our apparel brand called “AI” and we sold it at Japanese station booth.
AI is our design brand, we sold fun things like stickers and pins.

Yesterday I went to GJUI 20, located in a faraway land of Depok inside the huge ass campus of University of Indonesia. GJUI is a Yearly Japan exhibition.
I was at the Japanese Station booth the whole day, selling stuff.
And in this event, picculture.com exclusively worked together with franzeska edelyn and Japanese station, released a series of seifuku poster that we sold at Japanese station booth.

Yesterday I went to Danny Choo’s CJ night at Jakarta Design Center. After every AFA each year, there will be a small event held by Danny Choo on the next day called Culture Night Japan.
In CJ night you can talk to Mr. Danny, basically it’s a meet and greet session.
There is also a moekana tournament, where participant will be given random kana cards and try to make Japanese words out of them, and the player with the least unused card wins.
My friend is one of the participant here, but he lose on the 2nd round.

Here we go again with Anime Festival Asia 2014! This year’s AFA was also held at Jakarta Convention Center. Held on the 15-17th of August, the same day with Indonesia Independence Day!
Due the massive amount of works I’m currently doing recently, I only able to enjoy afa only on the saturday night, I came on Sunday night but only to pick up my kanojo.
even though it’s only for a short time, it was fun because I could meet with my friends.

then the AFA cafe. Met Jim and He said the cafe was running good and smooth. Yutakis was there and he drives women crazy with that handsomeness of him (or should i say prettiness?)
the one thing i knew about Yutaki is that he has that feminine side of him…. no, not like I personally experience it, I just saw him from outside the cafe. lol.

Then i watched SAGA at sony mini stage with my friends, SAGA was damn cool!
maybe everyone already knew that SAGA is a multinational group, the girl is Korean, the guy in the middle is Japanese, and the guy in the right is Chinese. All of them speak English so they can communicate well with their fans.
And then the ULTIMATE ZEONG!

that’s not really like a shape of a gundam, but once again, I like Turn A, so I can handle a little abnormalities in gundam shape 🙂

Hi! It’s been a while since the last time I posted here. Lately there are so many Japan pop culture event in Jakarta, and whenever something goes from quality to quantity, its not enjoyable for me.
Now, waku waku Japan is a cable TV program that shows 24 hours of finger lickin’ good Japanese TV shows. From Ultraman to Kamen rider to oshin to Anime, you name it. And they was just launched in Indonesia by bringing us Flumpool!
and not only flumpool, We got JKT48, Afghan, and BCL!
to be honest, I never been to BCL and Afgan concert before so I was a bit lazy on the first time, but it turned out that they are amazing.
The first to sing was JKT48 with… i forgot what the song was, then afgan, he got this white mic which is cool, and his voice was really crisp, the vvotas were shouting “chouzetsu kawaii, afgan” i don’t know if afgan knew what that means. lol.. then BCL came and sang a song called “jangan gila” which I heard a lot on radio but i didn’t know who the singer was. lol.
Then the last one to came out was flumpool. damn, i never been to flumpool concert, but the moment they sang, it was totally cool. the lead singer instantly stole the heart of every women in the hall… well maybe some men too..
my only comment is, the room was freezing! I went out of the room several times just to return my body temperature to normal again. lol.

today, i went to j music lab at fx jakarta to attend denpagumi performance. thanks to japanesestation.com, i was able to attend the press conference.
i didn’t know anything about denpagumi before, i only have listened to one o their song,
i didn’t ask anything during the interview, but after the interview, i was asked by japanese station to help then get denpagumi autographs on their signboard and say a sentence for special video. and we got it despites the angry security guys ☺
one funny happening though, i was wearing a t shirt with cute drawings on it, one of the denpagumi member saw it and said that it was kawaii. *i forgot which one*. then i said to them did they know what the drawing was, and she looked at my t shirt again then realized that it was a picture of sperm and startled lol. she then told the other girl next to her.
we got ourselves except Edelyn kicked out of the room my securities, for some reason, the securities let Edelyn stayed in the room with denpagumi. lol.
at that night we watch the concert, and i was lucky to get a free pass
